Despite loss to Alabama, Gators move up in Amway Coaches Poll

The Amway Coaches Poll for Week 16 of college football is out and the Florida Gators made up a little bit of ground despite the loss to Bama

The Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports is out after the conference championship game weekend and the Florida Gators, despite losing its SEC title match with the Alabama Crimson Tide, managed to move up a spot and sneak back into the top 10 heading into bowl game season.

Speaking of ‘Bama, the Tide held firm to its top spot in the poll now carrying an 11-0 record into the College Football Playoff where they will presumably be seeded in the No. 1 slot as well. Along with the Texas A&M Aggies at No. 5 and the Georgia Bulldogs at No. 9, the Southeastern Conference boasts four teams in the top 10 at the conclusion of the regular season. However, those four schools are the only SEC representatives in the overall top 25.

Here is a look at the full Amway Coaches Poll after the conclusion of Week 16 of college football.
