The LSU Tigers completed a disappointing 2020 college football season on Saturday with a 53-48 win over the Ole Miss Rebels.
For the Tigers, it was a strong — and promising — finish to a regular season full of opt-outs, injuries, and controversy.
Starting in last week’s upset win at Florida, LSU found its quarterback for next season in freshman Max Johnson. Johnson was outstanding in the win over Florida and excelled again in the win over Ole Miss.
Johnson had plenty of help from fellow freshman receiver Kayshon Boutte. Boutte finished the game with 14 receptions for 308 yards and three touchdowns. Ole Miss had no answer for Boutte.
While it was not a perfect performance, there were plenty of encouraging signs for LSU and many of its young players heading into next season.
Here are the top performers from LSU’s win over the Rebels.
