Idaho at Utah: Three things to know
- It’s still early in the season, with most teams having played only a handful of games so far. Only 14 of 328 programs have a lower per game scoring average than Idaho’s 59.0. Despite the fact they’re shooting a robust 41.7% from 3-point range, the Vandals have found the 60s in the scoring column just once in four games. Turnovers short-circuiting possessions have been a problem, as the Vandals have committed 16.8 TO per game.
- Utah’s lone loss thus far came in a cold-shooting road loss to BYU two games back. The Utes have displayed what looks to be an improved defense so far. They have forced 15 or more turnovers in three games and have held opponents to 67.5 points per game.
- Utah G Alfonso Plummer is a career 42.5% shooter from beyond the arc, and he has thus far attempted 6.8 treys per game in 2020-21. Plummer is leading the Utes in scoring with 16.3 PPG.
