What an introduction to the Raider Nation. Marcus Mariota steps on at QB for the Raiders and instantly leads them to a touchdown.
On the drive, Mariota went 3-for-3 for 70 yards a touchdown. He also had an 11-yard first-down run.
His first two passes were beauties, but his touchdown was next level. A perfect dime dropped into the arms of Darren Waller for a 35-yard touchdown.
Mariota to Waller for the lead? Gorgeous.

Derek Carr left at the end of the previous drive with a groin injury, leading to Mariota getting his first action. And the former second overall pick is clearly making the most of his time so far.
Currently, Carr is questionable to return from his groin injury. It was a non-contact injury, which is often the scariest kind. He was running out right trying to extend the play and pulled up lame and was immediately taken to the locker room.
Mariota’s early play is a great sign for the state of the Raiders’ offense should Carr not be able to return. Or even, perhaps, if Carr’s injury is more significant and has him out longer than just the rest of this game.
