It looks like the Baltimore Ravens found a touch of their offensive mojo in Week 14, beating the Cleveland Browns 47-42. Though Baltimore hasn’t had many games this season where both the offense and defense played at a high level all game long, at least one oddsmaker believes the Ravens have more than enough to take down the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15.
According to BetMGM, Baltimore is currently 12.5-point favorites over Jacksonville this week. While that’s a massive spread, it isn’t the highest of the week right now. The Los Angeles Rams currently have a 17.5-point spread over the winless New York Jets while the Pittsburgh Steelers are 12.5-point favorites over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Those that bet the under last week were kicking themselves as the final play of Monday night’s game — a safety — pushed Baltimore over the point spread. With a 12.5-point spread this week, it might be hard to bet on the Ravens going over it but those that lost money last week might be enticed to go with Baltimore this time around.
There’s more than enough reason to believe the Ravens can get that done, however. The Jaguars are coming off a 21-point loss to the Tennessee Titans last week and have similarly been blown out by the Steelers and Dolphins this season. Combine that with how Baltimore has routinely handled lesser teams this season, including beating up on the Texans, Bengals, Colts, and Cowboys, and all the markings are there to take the Ravens and the points.
But despite Jacksonville’s record, they’ve made more than a few matchups close. The Jaguars beat the Colts in Week 1 and have kept within four points of the Vikings, Browns, Packers, and Texans over the last six weeks. Of the 13 games already played, Jacksonville has had just five losses go over the 12.5-point spread presented this week.
