LeBron James hopes to complement the way Lakers have played in preseason debut

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James says he loves how the Lakers have played in free agency.

LeBron James is expected to take the court for the first and likely only time this preseason as he and the Lakers have decided to give him some minutes in the first half of Wednesday’s preseason game in Phoenix against Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and the Suns. LeBron James spoke to reporters on Tuesday about playing later this evening against Phoenix and most of his comments centered on how much he has loved what he has seen in the preseason games the Lakers played against the Los Angeles Clippers.

“I want to just continue what the ball club has been doing. They’ve been sharing the ball, moving the ball, playing at a really good pace and trying to defend and rebound,” James said after practice on Tuesday, according to SB Nation’s Harrison Faigen. “We just want to pick up back where we left off in the bubble, but also enhance that with the new guys.”

The Lakers beat the Clippers in each of their first two preseason games by a combined 21 points. Talen Horton-Tucker stole the show in each of the first two games and the Lakers also got a taste of what Marc Gasol can do with his playmaking, so tonight will be the first chance for LeBron to work in a game situation Gasol, Wesley Matthews, Dennis Schröder and Montrezl Harrell.
