Today is college football’s early national signing day, a time that marks the moment that prep student-athletes can officially sign on with their respective schools. The Florida Gators are expected to pull in some of the best recruits in the country, including five-star cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. of Miami Palmetto High School.

In other sports news, there are no new reports since yesterday on men’s basketball star Keyontae Johnson‘s condition. He currently remains hospitalized in Gainesville in stable condition — an upgrade from his previous designation as “critical but stable” — at the time of publication.

Speaking of men’s basketball, the team was scheduled to play the University of North Florida Ospreys tonight, but that game has been postponed due to Johnson’s condition. It is also expected that at least the next game against the Florida Atlantic Owls on Saturday will also be postponed, if not more.
