The Seattle Seahawks returned to form in Week 14 with a dominating victory over the New York Jets. Beating the worst team in the league may not say much, but a win is a win.
For their efforts, the Seahawks remain at No. 9 in Touchdown Wire’s latest NFL power rankings.
“Wilson threw a pair of touchdowns in the first half, the Seattle defense forced mistakes from the Jets, and the Seahawks raced out to an early 23-3 lead,” writes Mark Schofield. “In the second half Pete Carroll’s charges salted the game away, and sent the Jets home with yet another loss.”

“Looking ahead, Seattle faces three teams that are still in the playoff hunt to close out the year,” Schofield continues. “They’ll get Washington in Week 15 before a pair of NFC West showdowns with the Rams and the 49ers in the final two weeks. If they can replicate this performance a few more times, they’ll be able to emerge atop the division when the regular season is over.”
The Seahawks head east to face off against the Washington Football Team this Sunday. Kickoff is set for 10:00 a.m. PT.
