Former Georgia kicker Rodrigo ‘Hot Rod’ Blankenship made history on Sunday as the Indianapolis Colts rookie scored his 116th point of the season, a new franchise rookie scoring record.

Colts owner Jim Irsay also congratulated Hot Rod.

Through 13 games, the former Georgia great has hit 27 of 30 field goals and 35 of 37 extra points for a total of 116 points, which ranks third in the NFL this season.

Hot Rod surprisingly went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, but after signing with the Colts as a free-agent and winning the starting job this offseason, he’s made his mark on the League, including a game winning kick in overtime to beat Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in week-10.

DawgNation, we are well aware of Hot Rod’s poise for hitting big kicks and to ‘Respect the Specs’, make sure to vote for Blankenship to represent the AFC in this year’s Pro Bowl. You can vote by retweeting here.
