Former Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts got his first career NFL start on Sunday with the Philadelphia Eagles in an upset win over the New Orleans Saints.
Hurts took over for Carson Wentz after his continued struggles in recent weeks and did some good things in his first start helping snap a five-game losing streak against one of the top teams in the entire league.
Eagles’ coach Doug Pederson was non-committal after the game if Hurts would continue to start going forward, but it has been reported today that he will indeed get the nod again next Sunday.
Jalen Hurts will start again Sunday vs. Cardinals.

Awaiting him will be another former Sooner quarterback in Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals setting up an all-Oklahoma duel in the desert.
Murray and fellow former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield matched up last year as well, with Murray getting the better of that collision.
While Hurts and Murray were never with the Sooners at the same time, this still sets up a wildly interesting quarterback duel for Oklahoma fans. The matchup will take place on Sunday at 3:05 p.m. CT in Glendale.
