- Creighton G Marcus Zegarowski was tabbed as the Big East Preseason Player of the Year. Zegarowski connected on 42.4% of his threes en route to averaging 16.1 points per game in 2019-20. He’s clocked 38 points, nine assists, and five steals over Creighton’s last two games (loss to Kansas, win over Nebraska).
- Marquette will be looking to bounce back after a loss at UCLA on Friday night. The Golden Eagles were just 4-of-20 (20%) from 3-point range in being held to a season-low in points in the 69-60 setback. A year ago, Creighton and Marquette were one-two in Big East 3-point accuracy (38.6%, 38.2%, respectively).
- Last season, the Bluejays swept the Eagles, two games to none, as part of a 13-5 record (tied for first place) in Big East play. Creighton defeated Marquette, 92-75, at home on Jan. 1. The ‘Jays went on a 20-6 run early in the second half to take control of the contest.

The Bluejays have things rolling early; the Eagles are wrapping up a long travel weekend. CREIGHTON -350 IS A SOLID PLAY.
Against the spread (ATS)
The Bluejays are 12-2 ATS over their last 14 games against teams with winning straight-up records. The Eagles have a couple or three underclassmen that will figure into how much success they have in 2020-21. Early Big East road tilts will be big hurdles for them.

Over/Under (O/U)
Marquette typically plays average-pace (or slightly slower games); Creighton fits into the top-100 in pace. But the total here perhaps colors the Bluejays’ last game (98-74 win over Nebraska) too heavily.
The Eagles are an elite team on the glass, and Creighton hasn’t been getting to the free-throw line much. That all spells a drop in hidden points. Add in some regression on Creighton’s offensive efficiency overall, and a Creighton total near 75 makes sense.
