White-on-White: Washington finds their new lucky uniform combination

Washington wore their famous white-on-white uniform combination again, and they’re now 2-0 this season when rocking the classic look.

The Washington Football Team went more than a decade without wearing a uniform combination that the fanbase absolutely adores. They deprived the crowd of a white-on-white look that was heralded from back in the day with Sean Taylor, and Jason Campbell, and Santana Moss; a time when it was fun to be a fan in Washington.

Now that a new regime has brought back an energy and life to the organization that is absolutely infectious, the jerseys returned with it, and Washington is now 2-0 wearing this uniform combination, with both wins coming in the past two weeks.

Ron Rivera remarked after last week’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers — the first game in which Washington wore the white-on-whites — that they were saving this look for big games where they felt like a win would really mean something. That shows you how they felt going into this game against the San Francisco 49ers, where a win would put them into the top spot in the NFC East. Washington again wore the all-whites, and they found a way to another victory, putting themselves in the driver seat for a spot in the playoffs.

When we see these jerseys again is unknown, but I can guarantee you that it will be before the year’s end. The look is clean, and the feeling is lucky. Washington loves it, and the fans do too.
