The New Orleans Saints needed a spark in Sunday’s game with the Philadelphia Eagles, and Alvin Kamara found one. But he did it with some help from his blockers: specifically rookie tight end Adam Trautman, who made one of the better head’s-up plays you’ll see from a blocker in space.
Kamara found his way into the end zone for a 5-yard touchdown run, knifing through the Eagles defense and following his teammates along the way. And after the scoring play was reviewed and confirmed, Kamara took time to thank Trautman for the clutch block that sprang him in for six points.
You love to see it. The score helped close the gap with Philly, but the Saints have more work to be done before they can claim a win.
