RB Raheem Mostert cleared for return after concussion evaluation

The 49ers injuries are piling up vs. Washington. They could wind up being without Deebo Samuel and now Raheem Mostert.

49ers running back Raheem Mostert was evaluated for a concussion early in the second quarter vs. Washington. He left to the locker room briefly, but returned to the sideline a short while later and was cleared to return per ESPN’s Nick Wagoner.

San Francisco is already without WR Deebo Samuel who left the game with a hamstring injury after one play. Losing Mostert would’ve been a tough break after the club’s offense finally started getting healthy.

Mostert told reporters during the week he’s still dealing with the effects of an ankle injury he sustained in Week 6. He was out until Week 12 vs. the Rams, but his workload was relatively light in Weeks 12 and 13. He was at 35 yards on six carries when he left Sunday’s game, but it appears he’ll get a chance to add to those totals.
