Former University of Tennessee basketball player Josh Richardson debuted for his new team in an NBA preseason game Saturday night.
Richardson started and scored nine points in the Dallas Mavericks’ 112-102 victory over Milwaukee at Fiuserv Forum.
The former Vol was traded from Philadelphia to Dallas on NBA draft night.
Richardson broke into the NBA with the Miami Heat in 2015.
The Heat selected him in the second round of the 2015 NBA draft. He was the No. 40 overall pick.
Richardson played at Tennessee for four seasons and was a two-time member of the Southeastern Conference’s All-Defensive Team in 2014 and 2015.
He was a First-Team All-SEC standout in 2015.
