The Texas Longhorns are now waiting on their bowl matchup to be announced. That should come next Sunday following the final College Football Playoff rankings. They currently sit at No. 20.
Given that the Big 12 Conference has finally wrapped up their regular season as they march towards championship weekend, it feels like a certainty that the Longhorns will either play in the Cheez-It or Valero Alamo Bowl. Last season they were San Antonio bound as they ran all over Utah, 38-10. Could they play there again?

According to 247Sports, it looks like they will be heading to Orlando, Florida to take on an ACC team. Before yesterday it appeared to be the North Carolina Tar Heels and Mack Brown. The opponent now looks to be Miami (Fl) after falling to UNC 62-26. The Hurricanes defense gave up an NCAA record 544 yards rushing in the game. Bijan Robinson is probably salivating at the opportunity to run against that team.

The Longhorns and Hurricanes have played each other four times in their history. The all-time series is tied at two games apiece, but the last time they faced the Longhorns were throttled 44-6 at the Cotton Bowl. It has been 30 years since the schools have met on the football field, but that might come to an end in Orlando.
