Report: Texans WR Brandin Cooks not expected to play against the Bears

The Houston Texans aren’t expected to have receiver Brandin Cooks when they take on the Chicago Bears in Week 14.

Deshaun Watson may be expected to go win a football game without any of his top-3 receivers.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, receiver Brandin Cooks is expected to miss the Week 14 showdown with the Chicago Bears Sunday at Soldier Field. Cooks is dealing with lingering neck and foot issues that limited his playing time against the Indianapolis Colts last week in a 26-20 loss.

If Cooks can’t go, Watson will have to rely on receivers Keke Coutee and Chad Hansen to save the day again. The Texans did elevate Hansen from the practice squad to the active roster as one of their two standard elevations for Sunday’s game.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Cooks is still considered a game-time decision and they will make a determination as to whether he will be able to go.
