The Eagles are set to face the NFL’s top defense when they host the Saints on Sunday and the matchup will be the first start for rookie quarterback, Jalen Hurts.
Eagles players have rallied around Hurts and during his Thursday zoom meeting, star running back, Miles Sanders, spoke about what impresses him the most about the rookie out of Oklahoma.
Sanders harped on Hurt’s confidence, telling reporters that it was “through the roof” and that’s what he loved about the rookie quarterback.
Miles Sanders on Jalen Hurts 🔥🔥
“His confidence level is through the roof, and that’s what I really like about him, especially being a rookie… We don’t really know what’s going through his head, but he doesn’t really show any weaknesses. I love his confidence”@6abc#Eagles pic.twitter.com/8kqHpJspZu

Most of the conversation this week has centered on Hurt’s poise and how that’ll translate in his first start against a defense that can wreak havoc against any opponent, let alone a first-year rookie.
Hurts is used to the limelight and adversity after he led Alabama to the national title game as a freshman, only to be benched at halftime of the national title game as a sophomore.
After backing up Tua Tagovailoa as a Junior, Hurts transferred to Oklahoma as a graduate and finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting as a senior.
