Capacity Set for ACC Football Championship Game

How many, or how few people will get to see the ACC Championship in person? Find out here.

Next Saturday will see No. 2 Notre Dame take on No. 3 Clemson in the 2020 ACC Championship Game in what could be an elimination game for one or perhaps both from the College Football Playoff.

It’s a massive game and in any other year wouldn’t be happening seeing as Notre Dame wouldn’t be playing in the ACC.

But in this crazy year, we’re now aware of how many fans will actually be allowed to attend the game in Charlotte.

5,240 is 7% percent of the capacity at Bank of America Stadium and will be the allowed number of spectators at next Saturday’s game.  The ACC made the announcement this week and also noted that the attendance number could change based on North Carolina guidelines.

For comparison, 11,011 fans attended Notre Dame’s showdown with Clemson on November 7.

Now we’ll see less than half of that next Saturday.

Good luck getting in!
