LSU football self-imposes postseason ban for 2020

Ed Orgeron and the LSU Tigers have had a rough 2020 after winning the national title last season.

Things were going a lot better in Baton Rouge this time last year.

On Wednesday, the LSU athletic department announced that they have self-imposed a postseason ban for the football team for this season.

Despite being 3-5 this season, LSU remained an attractive team for many bowl sponsors because of the history of the program and being the defending national champions.

In November, a report by USA TODAY Sports was released detailing how the LSU program has ignored multiple sexual assault claims by female students including against star running back Derrius Guice.
