The Indianapolis Colts placed offensive tackle Le’Raven Clark on the injured reserve list, the team announced Wednesday.
This was to be expected after the team confirmed he suffered a torn Achilles against the Houston Texans in Week 13. Clark went down with the injury early on the offense’s first drive of the game. He couldn’t put any weight on his left leg and had to be carted off the field.
Clark has been the replacement for starter Anthony Castonzo, who suffered an MCL sprain against the Tennessee Titans in Week 12. It isn’t clear if Castonzo will be able to play Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
With Clark out and Castonzo potentially missing the game, Chaz Green will be the next man up at left tackle.
Clark is the third Colts player to suffer a torn Achilles. It also happened with running back Marlon Mack and safety Malik Hooker earlier in the season.
Clark will be a free agent when the 2020 season ends.
