Steelers sign DE Cassius Marsh from Colts practice squad

Cassius Marsh heads to Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed defensive end Cassius Marsh off of the Indianapolis Colts practice squad on Wednesday, per Ed Bouchette of The Athletic.

Marsh was signed to the practice squad on Oct. 24 and has been elevated a few times to the active roster for game days. He’s mostly used on special teams and sparingly on defense as an edge rusher.

He played in three games with the Colts, twice against the Titans and once against the Packers. With the defensive line nearing full strength, there likely wasn’t much room for Marsh to get a role on the active roster.

Now, he goes from one team battling for a playoff spot to the top team in the AFC.
