The Cleveland Browns have suffered a blow in advance of Monday’s key AFC North matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. The team placed standout right guard Wyatt Teller on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday in a series of roster moves.
Teller’s status is not an indication he tested positive. He could also have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive.
Teller has played outstanding football for the Browns all season. He is Pro Football Focus’ highest-graded offensive linemen in the entire NFL. Teller did miss four games earlier this season with a calf strain.
He figures to be replaced in the lineup by Chris Hubbard.
Teller is the only Browns player on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The team activated defensive end Porter Gustin in the same series of moves.
Update: Teller did not test positive, which means he can return for Monday’s game if he passes his COVID-19 tests between now and then.
