Alabama hasn’t forgotten about what happened last year after facing LSU.

If Alabama came into Saturday night’s matchup against LSU seeking revenge, it most definitely got what it came for, leaving Baton Rouge with a 55-17 win.

It had to have felt good, after Alabama dropped a home game to LSU last year. The Crimson Tide fell, 46-41 in a season where it was LSU who played in the national championship and finished out with a perfect record.

Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron said he hadn’t personally thought about the Tide being out for revenge or that playing a significant factor.

“I don’t know, I can’t say that,” he said after the game. “I think any time a team beats you, the next time your want to beat them. That’s sports. I ain’t heard anything about revenge or nothing like that. I was focused on our team this year. That’s it.”

Regardless of what was said ahead of the game, it’s clear Alabama football players like defensive end Byron Young got a pretty good bit of satisfaction out of topping the Tigers.

Let’s face it, we all knew this one in particular would come up again after the whole “Roll Tide, what? F– you,” incident.

The Tigers will look to get their feet back under them as they take on the Florida Gators up next on the schedule on Saturday at 6 p.m. CT in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
