Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Jonah Williams needed help leaving the field during Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.
Williams went down in the fourth quarter after an opponent rolled up on his leg from a blindspot while he was engaged with somebody else and needed a cart to leave the field with the help of medical personnel.
The 2019 first-round pick had been enjoying a breakout year in what amounted to his rookie season after missing all of last year and he was by far the team’s best offensive lineman this year.
Should Williams miss time and need to recover into this offseason, it again paints offensive tackle as a major need.
We’ll update when the team goes public with Williams’ status.
Update: Cincinnati wasted little time declaring Williams out:
#Bengals injury update: LT Jonah Williams has been declared OUT with a right knee injury.
