New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman is still a few weeks away from a return from injured reserve, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Patriots placed Edelman on injured reserve in Week 7 with a knee injury — he had been listed on the injury report for every practice during the regular season.. He also was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.
New England is set to play two games in Los Angeles between Sunday and Thursday. When the team returns to New England after that trip, the Patriots are more likely to have Edelman back, per ESPN. That would put his return in Week 16. Edelman started the season with 21 catches for 315 yards.
