Texas is coming off a huge week at the Maui Invitational that saw them crowned as champions. Wins over Davidson, Indiana, and North Carolina put impressive stamps on the Longhorns’ NCAA Tournament resume.
With Villanova now coming to town, another signature win could be on the cards for Shaka Smart. The Wildcats are one of the best teams in the country, ranking in the top three in the preseason poll.
Currently sitting at 3-1, Villanova fell at the expense of Virginia Tech over the Thanksgiving holiday. Their three wins have come by an average margin of 16.7 points. Point guard Collin Gillespie and forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl are the names to look for.
