Joseph Ossai leads defensive keys for Longhorns against Kansas State

These three defensive players will be paramount for the Texas Longhorns to leave Manhattan with a victory on Saturday.

After opening Big 12 Conference play with a 4-0 record, the Kansas State Wildcats have now lost four in a row. In their season finale on senior day they look to get back on the winning side and end the year on a high note. The Texas Longhorns defense under Chris Ash looks to continue their upward trajectory.

Against Iowa State, the defense was able to limit the big plays from Breece Hall and the offense for most of the game. When they needed to make a play the offense was able to drive the field after the offense failed to keep the ball from the Cyclones. Another effort from the defense like that and the Longhorns should be in a much better position with Kansas State.

The Wildcats offense does have a few players to key on, led by freshman running back Deuce Vaughn. Can the Longhorns defense force fellow freshman quarterback Will Howard into a few mistakes in the game?
