The Week 13 matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee will feature the two best rushing attacks in the NFL that are the engines behind their respective offenses.
For the Titans, it’s a one-man show, as Derrick Henry carries the load for Tennessee and currently leads the NFL in rushing yards with 1,257. The Alabama product has firmly placed himself into the MVP conversation.
For Cleveland, they use an explosive duo of backs and have the best 1-2 punch in the NFL in Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, both of whom have combined for over 1,400 yards this season.
When speaking to the media on Thursday, Henry heaped praise on Chubb and Hunt, per Emily Proud of WKRN:
“One of the best duos in the game, if not the best,” Henry said. “Those guys are ballers. If he (Chubb) didn’t get hurt, he would probably be in the top 2 or 3 in rushing yards.”
Henry didn’t want to get into comparing himself with Chubb specifically, but made it clear he has plenty of respect for him:
“We don’t compare each other. We’re all different and all have different styles of running. He’s a great back and I respect his game. He’s a force to be reckoned with the ball in his hands.”
The No. 1 goal for Tennessee’s defense on Sunday will be stopping or keeping Hunt and Chubb in check, and the same goes for Cleveland with Henry.
However, as we’ve seen all season long, stopping the ground game of Tennessee and Cleveland is far easier said than done.
