The New Orleans Pelicans will make their second-straight appearance on the NBA’s Christmas Day schedule this season as they will reportedly square off with the Miami Heat, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Last season, the Pelicans, sans Zion Williamson, traveled to Denver and came away with a 112-100 win. This season, hopefully with Williamson in tow, the team will travel to Miami to kick off the day’s games at noon.
New Orleans and Miami met twice last season with the Heat winning at home in mid-November, 109-94, and the Pelicans defending home court late in the year as part of its playoff push with a 110-104 win.
The rest of the NBA’s Christmas Day schedule will see the Warriors and Bucks play at 2:30 p.m., the Nets and Celtics at 5:00 p.m., the Mavericks and Lakers at 8 p.m. and the Clippers and Nuggets at 10:30 p.m.
The Pelicans’ opening day game has yet to be released. With the season set to start on Dec. 22, it is likely New Orleans will either open at home or near the Miami area.
