Celtics announce Walker out until Jan. with knee stem cell injection procedure

The Celtics announced via press release that All-Star point guard Kemba Walker will miss the start of the 2019-20 NBA season in a press release circulated Monday, Dec. 1.
According to the team, after consulting with multiple specialists in October, the UConn product was the recipient of a stem cell injection in his left knee.
In conjunction with a 12-week strengthening program to help prepare him for the coming season.
He is expected to return to on-court activities in early December, and “a further update regarding his game availability will be provided during the first week of January
