James Conner is the #Steelers player who tested positive for #COVID, multiple sources tell me. He is awaiting a second test tomorrow to confirm these results. Contact tracing continues. And as w/ every positive case in the #NFL and country… here’s to recoveries and good health.

It looks like all those Pittsburgh Steelers players who were complaining about the Baltimore Ravens being irresponsible need to pipe down. According to NFL Network reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala among others, the Steelers are now facing two positive tests, one starter and one assistant coach. Kinkhabwala is reporting the player who tested positive is running back James Conner.
This is in addition to the three players placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and guard Kevin Dotson who remains on the list.
How will this impact Tuesday’s game? It’s hard to say but you have to assume this can only jeopardize it further. We will withhold judgment for now but just as we called the Ravens out for irresponsibility in handling COVID-19 protocols, it is hard to imagine a half dozen members of the team on the list without there being lapses by the Steelers as well.
