For the second week in a row, nobody making picks on the set of ESPN’s College GameDay is giving LSU much of a chance to get a win today.
Each member of the ESPN College GameDay staff, plus guest picker Joe Namath, selected Texas A&M as their pick in tonight’s LSU road game in College Station.
Considering the way each school’s season has gone this fall, it is easy to understand why anyone would pick Texas A&M against LSU tonight. The Aggies come into the game ranked fifth in the initial College Football Playoff rankings while LSU has been scuffling through an up-and-down season alternating wins and losses. The Aggies are also a significant favorite against the spread, putting the defending national champions in the role of spoiler this weekend.
If this sounds like a familiar trend for LSU football, it is probably because you only have to go back a week to find the last time everyone on the College GameDay staff picked against the Tigers. Of course, LSU proved the doubters wrong a week ago against Arkansas. Doing so again tonight will be a stiffer challenge for the Tigers.
