The 49ers on Friday got another player off the Reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of their Week 12 showdown with the Rams in Los Angeles. Defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw became the third player to come off the COVID list, joining center Hroniss Grasu and fellow defensive lineman Arik Armstead. San Francisco still has six players on the list as of Friday evening.
Kinlaw went on the COVID-19 list Wednesday, Nov. 18. The rookie defensive tackle would’ve been sorely missed against the Rams since the team’s depth at that spot isn’t a strength of the roster. Kinlaw is also coming off one of his best games as a pro when he posted 1.5 sacks and a tackle for loss against the Saints.
San Francisco isn’t out of the woods yet with their COVID-19 issues though, and it appears they’ll have some players unavailable for Sunday’s game because of it.
Defensive lineman DJ Jones, defensive end Jordan Willis, wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, left tackle Trent Williams, linebacker Joe Walker and tight end Daniel Helm all remain on the COVID-19 list heading into the weekend.
