When it comes to Tennessee golf, there are two places you need to know: The Blackburn-Furrow Golf Clubhouse and the Mack & Jonnie Day Golf Practice Facility.
The 8,300-square-foot Blackburn-Furrow Golf Clubhouse opened in 2019 and is less than a mile from campus along the Tennessee River. The clubhouse features a 1,000-square-foot hitting bay equipped with Trackman, swing-analysis technology, video capabilities and a Putt View virtual-putting green. The facility also has locker rooms for the men’s and women’s golf teams, as well as meeting areas, a team lounge and coaches’ offices. The Vols and Lady Vols each have their own individual lounge areas, which look out over the facility and Tennessee River.
The Mack & Jonnie Day Golf Practice Facility is a a 28-acre, $4.5 million layout. The practice course was designed by Greg Norman’s group and opened in November 2010. The practice area includes three holes, four Bentgrass and two Bermuda grass greens, two dedicated wedge practice areas and uses the same sand as Augusta National Golf Club.
