With the Philadelphia Eagles badly needing a win to stay in the NFC playoff race, the Birds are set to shake up the offensive line one more time.
According to John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Jason Peters will slide down to right guard in place of Matt Pryor, while Jordan Mailata will return to left tackle.
Peters will be moving to right guard and Jordan Mailata will be moving back to left tackle, sources tell NBC Sports Philadelphia. J
I’m told Peters has been giving it his all and has been playing through turf toe. It got aggravated when he was rolled up on in Cleveland. It is his point foot, his left foot, which is so important for a left tackle.
With Peters still dealing with a toe injury, he’ll move inside, allowing Mailata to return to left tackle as the Eagles look to get their most talented five offensive linemen on the field.
Peters gave up three sacks in the Eagles’ loss to the Browns last Sunday and he’ll move to right guard while helping Mailata transition back to left tackle, where the talented Australian started four games in place of the Future Hall of Famer.
