The Vikings have not had the best of luck with injuries.
After waiving right guard Pat Elflein, the Vikings lost Ezra Cleveland to injury last game. Elflein was the starting right guard before going down with an injury.
Cleveland ended up being Elflein’s replacement once Dru Samia went down with an injury. Brett Jones was then Cleveland’s replacement at right guard for last game. Despite Jones playing well, I think it would help quite a bit to have Cleveland back.
That way, the Vikings could play their best guard pairing, whether it’s Cleveland and Dakota Dozier or Jones and Cleveland or some other combination. Cleveland’s absence from last game certainly complicated things.
