What a day for Ron Rivera.
Not only was he coaching his first primetime game with the Washington Football Team, but it came against the team’s biggest rival on Thanksgiving Day, quite possibly the biggest day of the NFL season.
His team beat the Cowboys, 41-16.
It wasn’t particularly close in the second half, and Washington continued to pour it on, with rookie RB Antonio Gibson going crazy for three touchdowns, and DE Montez Sweat capping it off with a pick-six in the end too. It was all smiles after the game, here are some of the top quotes from Rivera in his press conference:
Rivera said, "We'll see where we are when we get a chance to test ourselves vs. one of the elites right now." That would be the 10-0 Steelers.

Rivera said Gibson is still growing.
That should be a scary thought for the rest of the NFC East after tonight's game. Wow.

Ron says Nate Kaczor had his unit in a prevent-style setup because they knew Dallas liked to run fake punts and had done so a few times already this year. Great prep all around
