Detroit Lions defensive tackle Danny Shelton will not return to the team’s Thanksgiving matchup with the Houston Texans. Shelton suffered a knee injury during the first half of the game.
Shelton struggled to get up after having his leg rolled up in a pile on a run by Houston’s Duke Johnson. After finally getting to his feet, Shelton required assistance to leave the field. He went directly to the locker room instead of stopping on the sideline for evaluation.
The big DT was initially listed as questionable to return by the Lions. However, Shelton did not come out with the rest of the team after halftime.
Stay tuned for updates on Shelton’s status.
