The Pittsburgh Steelers already had their schedule affected by the COVID-19 pandemic when they had their Week 4 contest against the Tennessee Titans moved to Week 7. A Titans outbreak was responsible for that adjustment.
On Wednesday, another Steelers game was moved, this time due to a Baltimore Ravens COVID-19 outbreak: the Thanksgiving night matchup will now be played on Sunday, November 29.
Of course it’s the right call from a health perspective, but it seems like a second postponement has very much rubbed the Steelers the wrong way.
Players including JuJu Smith-Schuster, Eric Ebron, Chase Claypool and Devlin Hodges tweeted after the news broke:
First the NFL takes away our bye week because another team can’t get their Covid situation together, now they take away our Thanksgiving primetime game for the same reason. Smh.

OK, #Steelers players are not happy. In messages on Twitter and to me. This is the second time this season their schedule has been altered very close to the supposed-to-be game day.
