Everyone knows Jalen Ramsey is a star on the field, once again proving to be one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL – if not the very best. But his work off the field has been quite impressive, too.
Ramsey gave back to the Inglewood community this week by purchasing $20,000 worth of Vons grocery gift cards for families in the South L.A. area ahead of the holiday season. They were distributed to recipients at a turkey giveaway on Tuesday, just in time for Thanksgiving.
The Rams recognized his kind gesture on Twitter after the cornerback said he’s been “active this year tryna make positive impacts” in the community.

Back in October, Ramsey committed $1 million to the Purpose Prep Academy in his hometown of Nashville, as well as continued support for the students at the school in an attempt to provide a quality education to underprivileged kids.
Ramsey signed a five-year contract worth up to $105 million with the Rams this offseason and he’s clearly made a point to give back whenever he can.
Rams COO Kevin Demoff called Ramsey “one of the NFL’s most thoughtful community leaders” after his partnership with Vons this holiday season.
One of the NFL’s most thoughtful community leaders @jalenramsey partnered with @vons to help our inglewood and south LA neighbors. @2dCall is an amazing organization that helps folks get on the right track getting them jobs at amazing projects like building @SoFiStadium https://t.co/QPKTICtTiS
