Watch: Lawrence, Wilson combine for strip sack, leads to Elliott TD for Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys force a turnover and score three plays later to take a lead 6-0.

The Dallas Cowboys almost forced a turnover on the punt return after their offense went three and out. Unfortunately it was recovered by the Minnesota Vikings after Cedrick Wilson got a hat on the ball. Four plays later, safety Donovan Wilson got it back anyway.

Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence beat his man with ease and made his way to Kirk Cousins where he had a meeting scheduled with Wilson. If the play by Lawrence was good, the play by the safety was amazing, somehow stealing the ball as Cousins was on his way to the ground.

The Dallas offense didn’t waste the gift. The three-play thirty yard drive was highlighted by quarterback Andy Dalton hitting CeeDee Lamb for a chunk play before finding running back Ezekiel Elliott on the very next play for a six yard touchdown catch.

Because it’s the 2020 Cowboys, the extra point was blocked. After all, too many things had gone right in short order. They lead 6-0.
