The Pittsburgh Steelers have a short week coming up with Thursday’s Thanksgiving matchup with the Ravens, and now wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster’s status could be in doubt all because of a rogue penalty flag.
Smith-Schuster sustained one of the weirder injuries during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game in Jacksonville when he stepped on a penalty flag while jogging in motion and immediately started hobbling to the sidelines.
The CBS broadcast reported that Smith-Schuster tweaked his ankle, and the Steelers receiver was visibly frustrated on the bench. After all, getting injured from stepping on a penalty flag is an absolutely brutal way to get hurt.

Like, how?
Freak injuries don’t get much stranger than that.
