By now, a fair number of Boston Celtics fans have heard of Aaron Nesmith, the team’s 14th overall pick of the 2020 NBA draft, but perhaps don’t know very much about him other than that he can shoot.
That is a great starting point to begin with the former Vanderbilt Commodore, who played as a forward in his two seasons at the NCAA level.
A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Nesmith stands 6-foot-6, weighs 213 lbs. and has a 6-foot-10 wingspan.
And as for that shooting — from 3-point range in his second season, Nesmith took 115 treys, making 60 of them at an absurd 52.2 % rate on 9.2 attempts per game.
Nesmith is a solid driver and finisher as well, and gets to the line a healthy 5 attempts per game, defends well, and has a very high motor.
There’s little to complain about off the court either, as Green Bean — evidently his new nickname with the Celtics — is by all accounts a high character guy.
So whether you’ve been in on this flamethrower of a shooter for some time, or just want to get your bearings on Boston’s most recent arrival, watch the video embedded above.
