New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton put together an extremely fun outfit for Week 11 against the Houston Texans. Newton, who seems to stun every week with these game day outfits, was rocking a pair of plaid shorts with suspenders on Sunday at NRG Stadium.
His hat was, yet again, a thing of beauty. The laces on his boots weren’t the same color, with one red and one black. His dress socks had polkadots. And he threw in a bowtie for good measure. It wasn’t necessarily Newton’s boldest getup of the season, but it was definitely a good one.
There was actually some debate about whether the colors from the photo on Patriots.com was accurate. It looks like there might have been a filter.
Suspenders. Plaid. Cardigan (or some other kind of sweater, but I'm imagining it's a cardigan).

Just did some important forensic analysis. I think the true color of Cam's shorts are purple and yellow. Initial photo seems to have a filter. (You can see the stadium seats are black instead of navy.) Glad to have gotten to the bottom of this situation. pic.twitter.com/bkN60B1kmx

Regardless, it’s another excellent getup.
