Former Boston Celtic guard Avery Bradley will be joining the Miami Heat according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Bradley will be signing a two-year deal worth a reported $11.6 million engineered by his agent Charles Briscoe, reported the NBA newsbreaker on Saturday afternoon, with multiple sources noting the second year of the deal will be a team option.
The 29-year-old veteran had last played for the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2019-20 season, but sat out the NBA restart for personal reasons after averaging 8.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in his sole season with the Lakers.

He will now join a Miami Heat team hoping to cash in on the Texas product’s elite defensive skills to help bolster what is already one of the league’s top teams in the East.
As the arms race in the conference picks up pace, Bradley’s former franchise will need to make solid signings in a hurry to keep from losing ground to teams now rostering their former player.
