Tennessee has dipped into Texas to offer a defensive prospect.
The Vols extended an offer to 2023 cornerback Jacoby Davis from Houston, Texas.

The Vols have put a lot of energy into recruiting the class of 2022 and 2023 recently, and Davis is one of the newest additions to UT’s board.
Davis does not yet hold any ratings from the 247Sports Composite, but the 6-foot, 175-pound freshman at North Shore High School has already collected offers from two Power Five programs in Kansas and Texas A&M.
Tennessee defensive coordinator Derrick Ansley is the staff’s coach to have the most contact with Davis. The Vols do not have a prospect committed to the 2023 recruiting class.
