Lost in much of the latest media hype over Florida’s star quarterback Kyle Trask was his recent acceptance to the Reese’s Senior Bowl, which was announced via Twitter on Tuesday.
Trask has been on fire during his redshirt senior season, amassing 2,171 yards on 148-for-211 passing with 28 touchdowns and just three interceptions. His passing percentage of 70.1 percent and completion average of 10.3 yards per reception are next-level numbers that have separated him from the pack as one of the best quarterbacks in college football.
It’s OFFICIAL! Florida QB Kyle Trask (@ktrask9) is headed to the @Reeses Senior Bowl!

If his current rate set through six games were extrapolated across 15 games, Trask would accrue 525 passing attempts — nearly exactly the same amount as Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow (527) tossed in 2019. He would also eclipse Burrow’s mark of 60 passing touchdowns and effectively throw for the same amount of yardage (5,428 to Burrow’s 5,671).
Keep in mind that Burrow’s numbers were padded by non-conference opponents, while this season has every team in the league suffering the intra-conference gauntlet. Trask could very well have the fourth Heisman in UF history in his sights if he continues his meteoric trajectory.
Florida’s quarterback joins three other Gators — Trevon Grimes, Shawn Davis and Jeremiah Moon — who also recently accepted their invitations to the premier college football professional talent showcase earlier this week.
