Amidst an MVP surge backed by a game-winning hail mary (which will likely end up as the NFL’s play of the year), Kyler Murray just seems to be on everyone’s mind right now.
The former Oklahoma and current Arizona Cardinals quarterback has been dropping dimes and show-stopping performances all season. But his latest magic trick, a last-second 43-yard heave to beat the Buffalo Bills, has everyone talking, including Murray, who appeared on CBS Sports Radio on Monday.
Among other things, Murray discussed his passion for baseball. Murray played both football and baseball at Oklahoma, and was drafted ninth overall in the 2018 MLB Draft.
“I know where I’m supposed to be at,” Murray. “If I would have chose baseball, I think I would be missing the hell out of football a lot more. For me, I wish I could do both.”
Murray was a three-sport star throughout his childhood, playing all three of football, basketball and baseball.
“I played baseball, football, basketball my whole life growing up,” he said. “I mean, I miss basketball. I didn’t get to play basketball as much as I may have wanted to, but yeah, I miss baseball for sure. Just being in the box, being out there with the guys, competing.”
