Clippers Kawhi Leonard has shown interest in adding Chris Paul

The Los Angeles Clippers are looking to add some talent at the guard spot and Leonard likes Paul, according to The Ringer’s Ryen Russillo.

The arms race in the National Basketball Association and in the Western Conference is on the cusp of beginning again. It’s been a long time since the majority of teams in the league have made moves, let alone had a free-agent period. There is a great deal of anticipation within the league that there will be a lot of movement and we’ve already heard a few big names get mentioned in rumors, including Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul.

Paul, as it turns out, was never very interested in joining the Lakers, as ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith reported this week on First Take. However, the Lakers’ rival across the hall are trying their best to recruit Paul back to where he spent six seasons. According to The Ringer’s Ryen Russillo, Clippers star Kawhi Leonard has reached out to Paul about coming back to the Clippers.

Paul has been connected to the Phoenix Suns in trade rumors more than any other team. The NBA has not yet lifted the moratorium on trades and player movement, which is expected to be done sometime before Wednesday’s draft.
